Soliton, LLC was a Nasdaq-listed (SOLY) early commercial stage medical device company with a novel and proprietary platform technology licensed from The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center ("MD Anderson"). The Company completed a merger with AbbVie in 2021. Our first commercial product uses rapid pulses of designed acoustic shockwaves to dramatically accelerate the improvement in the appearance of cellulite and removal of unwanted tattoos. We are based in Houston, Texas. Our RAP device uses designed acoustic shockwaves to accelerate the removal of tattoos when used in conjunction with existing lasers. Our technology allows a doctor to treat a patient multiple times in a single office visit and significantly reduce the overall time it takes to remove a tattoo. Clinical trial data suggests that the “Soliton” method can enable tattoo removal in just 1/3 the time of current methods. While we are initially targeting the tattoo removal market, our technology also shows promise in a number of other indications including cellulite reduction and assisting other fat removal technologies.
