I chose to follow my AGM from Rainforest to her new gig as the GM of City Works in Disney Springs. I was promoted quickly as one of their Server Trainers, and I am in line for their Management In Training program. My craft beer knowledge and experience, mixed with my extensive restaurant past, makes for a good fit at City Works. I moved to Orlando, FL from Miami, FL for a new change of scenery. I was able to get the job at Rainforest Cafe as a Server & was promoted quickly to Shift Lead/Trainer. I worked full time in the busiest Rainforest Cafe in the nation, located in Disney's Animal Kingdom. I moved to Orlando, FL from Miami, FL for a new change of scenery. I left World of Beer for an opportunity with J. Wakefield Brewing in Wynwood area of Miami, FL. They are a boutique brewery that is widely known in the craft beer world. I was able to be their Taproom Manager, which gained me more experience and wisdom in the craft beer industry. I was in charge of supervision, along with working the bar, inventory, marketing, and also helped with bottling/canning of beers. I started off as a bartender for World of Beer & steadily got promoted until I became the AGM/Buyer for my store in Kendall, Miami, FL (it was the busiest WOB in FL at the time). With that role, I was in charge of purchasing all bottled/draft beer (50 revolving draft lines). I was also tasked with bringing in new revenue by organizing certain beer events/spotlights & by using selective, competitive pricing. I met a lot of vendors/distributors, and I gained a ton of experience.
