Fondazione Italia Sociale is the National Participation Foundation, established by the law reforming the Third Sector (Law 106 of 6 June 2016, art. 10) with the approval of the Bylaws by Presidential Decree of 28 July 2017. Fondazione Italia Sociale was created with the mission of developing an innovative strategy to provide support to the Italian non-profit sector. It pursues its objectives by fostering collaboration between entities, people and resources, both public and private, and by promoting interventions on a national scale with a perspective of sustainability over time. The Foundation is participated by multinational companies, universities, cultural and social foundations, banks, publishers, professional firms, international consultancy companies and other important entities in the profit and non-profit sectors. It also supports and implements study and research activities and cultural projects, in order to give voice to issues of major social and civil relevance. One of the ways it pursues these goals is through Fondazione Donor Italia ONLUS, which supports large donors, companies and non-profit organisations in managing donations. I am currently assigned full-time to Fondazione Donor Italia Onlus, where I work in support of all activities related to the planning, development and dissemination of Donor-Advised Funds: customised philanthropic funds, both of individuals and corporations, which allow complex philanthropic projects to be built without the costs and complications of a new charitable organisation. I also co-authored a working paper on Donor Advised Funds, published in 2021, and I support the work at the international level of Fondazione Donor Italia, which is the only Italian member of the European network Transnational Giving Europe.
