Define new product spec, new feature requirement & design, driving development team to make init demo. As a people manager, lead a 19 people (2008 -2011), 10 people (2011-2012). Main task for this position is Interview, engage, training, task assignment, people KPI defines, performance appraisal. As android is new platform at that time, it spend a lot of efforts for internal & outsource training. Base on my experience in Motorola; write some technical & SEI CMMI train slide for my team. Due to Samsung smart phone project at that time the schedule is very tight, motivate employees is needed. Arrange the team building, task re-assignment, assigned someone trip for china local issue, etc. As product manager, runs following task: As System/RIL part leader, support Samsung China mainland android product BSP, RIL integration. CMCC MTBF automation test & Google android CTS test support. In charge of Samsung android product for China/HK/Taiwan market support As produce manager, support Samsung first android product I7500 (WCDMA) ship to TW/HK/China Open market. As produce manager, support Samsung first CU product I6500 (WCDMA) ship to CU operator. As produce manager, support Samsung first CTC product I899 (CDMA) ship to CTC operator. As produce manager, define Samsung first CMCC OMS product I7680 (TD-SCDMA) init plan, schedule. Develop Samsung android input method for android platform. Following up Chinese operator requirement add more support for android platform, such as MMS, etc. Integrate operator requirement 3rd party application into Samsung android platform, such as Adobe Flashlite, RMVB, etc. In software part, we support for android SMS/MMS/Chinese sorting, CMMB, etc. In hardware part, we support for NAL, CMCC monthly test, CMCC CMMB test, CTC GPSone test, CTC Guangzhou Test. Base on EZX Linux platform, release full text search for all data in cellular phone & Internet Search, distribution search over UPnP/DLNA WIFI & Bluetooth. The engine base on following technical: Qt, SOAP, XML, DB interface for Belekery DB/Sqlite, Wordnet 2.0, Metaphone, snowball, UPnP/DLNA, WIFI, Bluetooth, yahoo REST/RSS API. One patent submit for integrate TAPI into Mobile search framework. As the technical leader, working with Motorola multimedia Lab, lead a 4 number team; realize MPEG 4 facial Avatar feature on Linux Java mobile unit without GPU provided a lowest cost solution. Take some advanced research with 3D graphics & 3D audio. One patent submitted for Avatar integration. Redesign Microsoft Mobile6 media manager for Motorola's first CDMA/WiMax/WIFI product on OMAP 2430 + Atlas hardware platform. Working with 4G architecture team for WiMax/WIFI Video Telephone conference call on Windows mobile 6 platform, which base on SIP/IMS, Directshow, H.264/263, and RTP/RTSP. 2004/01 - 2006/07 Senior Engineer Location: Chicago & Beijing Responsibilities & Achievements: As the key member for I-mode iMelody integration for Motorola first 3G Docomo FOMA phone. Integrate Faith iMelody engine into ARM11, ARGON+ platform. Redesign Docomo MOAP-L, a middle layer between TI Linux BSP & Docomo application with Aplix Corp. to fit Motorola's Linux Java platform on Freescale ArgonLV platform. Aplix's Docomo application is base off MOAP-L on TI Linux BSP; Motorola's Docomo application is base off P2K platform on Freescale Argon+ hardware platform.
