I can honestly say that it has been a privilege to have Lola as a manager and a leader over the last year. I joined the Rethink Group because of the passion she showed during the interview process through the many initiatives she had already delivered and the ideas that were in progress. She has led and delivered on countless projects across all our brands to improve our People Operations, Diversity and Inclusion, Talent Acquisition and Learning and Development functions. As my manager, Lola made me feel valued and appreciated. No matter how busy she is, she would always find the time to catch up with every member of the team to ensure we felt supported and listened to. She would give feedback on an ongoing basis so we constantly had the opportunity to improve. Lola is a key player and a role model to the wider business. Aside from being a ray of sunshine in the office, she is commercially aware, confident, very hands on (she has regularly had to put on her Recruiter hat!), not afraid to challenge the status quo and get the best out of people. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience under her belt and will be a valuable asset wherever she decides to go next. Its not really fair to call Lola a head of people or head of HR, yes she can do all of that but her depth and capability far surpass those roles. She is a world class operator in her own right, she has an accountancy qualification so understand the financial levers, but most importantly she totally understands people. She is the type of person that drives loyalty from her team, demands excellence from all she works with, manages stakeholders expertly and is utterly loyal to the team goal. Lola added significant value to the organisations where I have worked alongside her at (and it had nothing to do with me) both on a people and talent side but also setting operational objectives and achieving strategic excellence.
