This role is in conjunction with my master course, this role covers a broad range of tasks in the field of Additive manufacturing and Nondestructive testing techniques. It is being a challenging and a new platform for learning and improving my skills on cutting edge technologies. Roles such as the designing of parts using different CAD tools, operating Renishaw AM machine and had training on operating Arcam EBM machines, and worked with a new NDT technique known as process compensated resonant testing (PCRT). During which I also had the opportunity to know about other types of Additive Manufacturing process.I was also involved in a group project using Design of Experiments approach on investigating the effect of sintering on tunnel pores in Electron Beam Melting. This involved material preparation for viewing in microscope and using Minitab software for analysis of the results.
