BecauseMentalHealth is a youth-led organisation striving to end the stigma around mental illness, through the education of psychology and neuroscience as well as the celebration of mental health instead of the shaming of it. The Projects Department encompass all the tangible, real-life elements of BMH, whether it be our podcast, our webinarthons, our fundraising activities, our volunteering programs, or any other non-social media-related projects that BMH produces. The Civic Innovators Fellowship is a three-month intensive civic leadership program that prepares hundreds of civic-minded high school students each year with the knowledge and skills to produce novel solutions to well-defined community and societal problems. Over the course of the program, Fellows examine the most vexing problems facing the U.S. and the world and create solutions that bridge foundational principles with emerging technology and new schools of thought.
