Restless is a glimpse into a couple on the brink of a new life as they struggle to escape the cycle of anxiety, act on uncertainty, and answer 'what if?'. I wrote the short play for Shadow Road Production's mental health mini-festival, Unbroken. It was staged at Theatre503 and directed by Evangeline Osbon under Mind Out Theatre, starring Jessica Brady, Ebony Wong, Dylan Stafford and Benjamin McMahon. A clip of Restless can be seen at 0.48. Worthing Museum and Art Gallery ran an Arts Award course, where students took inspiration from working with a local milliner to create their own individual and very unique hats. Each hat drew on varying themes from flowers, the seaside and the Day of the Dead. The film was a short celebration of their work, showing each student wearing their hat and showcasing the creative details of each piece. During my time at Fabrica I was responsible for running a social media campaign to celebrate the gallery's 21st anniversary year. Called 21 Voices, it consisted of 21 film, sound and text interviews with members of staff across the organisation, covering topics such as the benefits of volunteering, how art benefits children and the socially isolated, and the gallery's visions for the future. The interviews took on a broad range of forms and styles, from interpretive interviews with the gallery building itself, to traditional interviews with staff, and videos of quotes from artists in residence working at the gallery. The film is a documentation of a collaboration between local Mind groups and The Otter Gallery in Chichester. It is a non-fiction, short film documenting the project Art in Mind, which aimed to deepen links between Chichester University and the local community, allowing access to the University's collection of 20th Century British art collection. Participants developed and created original artwork that was then displayed in a public exhibition. The film follows this process from the project's conception to conclusion. Show less
