I worked in a small Tesco store as part of a team. My duties varied from filling stock, serving/helping customers and sometimes management tasks. Working here I gained many valuable skills; I learnt the importance of working as a team to complete tasks on time and to use other people’s strengths to get the best outcome. I also learnt how to work under pressure and to not just complete tasks efficiently but to a high standard too.

My duty in this job was to serve customers on the till. I gained a lot of confidence and communication skills whilst working here. I had to be polite to customers and patient when dealing with difficult queries. Working on the tills meant that I was responsible for the money in the till and handling it. This being my first job, I learnt the importance of being punctual and organised.
