Legal/Development Intern

Apr 2014 - Aug 2014
I work at the 84 Lumber Corporate office as a legal and development intern. I am currently working towards my Real Estate License and have also been working closely with Mr. Joe Hardy. I am in the office next to his and he has been in sort of a "mentor" role to me showing me some of the ropes and giving me insight into how he created 84 Lumber and helped it become what it is today. I also get to review legal documents, get hands on experience with legal issues, and also get an insight into the real estate market. Show less

Bag Room Attendant/Caddie
-
Oct 2013 - Mar 2014
I worked in the bag room where I would greet guests, help them with their bags, and make sure everything was set up at the beginning of the day and closed down at the end. As a caddie I would go out with the players on the course giving them yardage, reading putts, target lines, etc. However, the most important aspect of caddying was the ability to talk and carry on a conversation, this aspect helped enhance my communication skills further and get me more comfortable in a different environment with different people every day. Golf Operations Intern
-
Apr 2012 - Oct 2013
This was a seasonal position. I worked outside operations where I would greet the guests and help them with their bags as well as any questions they may have. I would get the guests set up with the necesary things to get ready for a round of golf and also help them with their equipment when they got off of the course. This is a job where you got to talk to all sorts of different people on a daily basis and with this being a resort it was the hospitality business; and being able to communicate effectively and give the guests the best all around and possible experience was always part of the job.
