About Loek van der Klis About a decade van der Klis has collaborated with Theo Jansen the creator of strandbeest, moving sculptures, has been working on the evolution processes of this 'new nature', beach animals and global exhibitions. Collaboration with workshops. As a photographer van der Klis has documented the process of various ‘species’ as well. Loek has, in collaboration with E. Roodbol, created a decor for Vila Zebra a museum for children, and designed/built a multi media cabinet. Prior to this van der Klis worked as an instrument maker/programmer, also in theatres as a set builder/designer, light technician, photographer and renovated old Dutch houses. van der Klis working fields, Nature, Food, High & Low -Tech, Architecture, Art, Photography. Loek made a documentary in former Yugoslavia; traveled with The UN to places like, Vogovar, Ivankovo, with an interpreter. This was started through the VPRO. Over the years images/films are published in/on different media platforms. Sinds May 2017 until today Loek works as a coordinator by Stichting Stunt. After Loek van der Klis finished his study Biodynamics on Warmonderhof, Loek started DAT a CSA-project nearby the TU-Delft, working hard to create a BD-farm in a area named: Midden Delfland. This is in-between Rotterdam and Den Haag. After two seasons unfortunately he needed to stop, and is looking forward to collaborate with people of interest to make a restart! CSA allows city residents to have direct access to high quality, fresh produce grown locally by regional farmers. A member of a CSA, will purchasing a “share” of vegetables from a regional farmer. Weekly or bi-weekly, during the harvest season, the farmer will deliver that share/produce to a convenient drop-off location in your neighborhood. Show less
