Copenhagen Once in a while, you encounter opportunities in your career that leave you with no other option than to answer with a loud and clear "YES". This is how I felt in the autumn of 2020, when Laynet Wynsch asked me and my partner in Trooper, Gitte Christensen if we would like to take over the management of Art Nordic, which she had built up with her husband over the last 7 years, and which was now the Nordic region's largest sales- and artfair in the Nordic region. Today, we have built a small organization of 3 people around Art Nordic, which has developed into a platform for creative expression, while still being true to the original vision of uniting people through art. Copenhagen I decided to set a new course for my professional life in June 2019. I did not really know what that meant when I resigned from the position that was my dream job in so many ways. But soon after Gitte Christensen and I founded Connectyou which a year later became Trooper. From the start, the core has been purpose-driven communication. I did not really know what that meant when I resigned from the position that was my dream job in so many ways. But soon after Gitte Christensen and I founded Connectyou which a year later became Trooper. From the start, the core has been purpose-driven communication. We are deeply concerned with how brands can succeed by implementing their purpose throughout all marketing and communications efforts. At Trooper we have developed a complete system to support this implementation. Based on our methods we help our customers establish the strategic foundation and create the content and platforms needed to succeed - be it websites, marketing automation, video, email marketing, advertising, social media marketing or podcasts. It's the most meaningful and fun thing I've done in my entire career. And fortunately, there are many companies in Denmark that demand what we offer in these times. Show less

Copenhagen, Denmark After many years of working with communication about climate change and energy transition, I realised that I needed a change in my professional life. I therefore applied for the position as head of group communication in what was at that time the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Building - later the Ministry of Energy, Supply and Climate. Here I functioned as Head of Corporate Communications and the press department. Later I was asked to also take on the role as Head of the Ministerial Secretariat and Executive Secretariat. Being an outsider, not trained in the procedures and workflows of the central administration, I experienced a very steep learning curve. I feel very privileged having had the opportunity to use my communication skills in an organization characterized by extremely high professionalism, competence and purposefulness. From working in the Ministry I gained a significantly better understanding of the complexity that lies in enabling the transition from a fossil-based to a zero-carbon energy system on an international level. In that concern, those years did not nurture my climate optimism, but I left with an enormously high degree of respect and gratitute towards the people working in the Danish central administration. When I was offered the opportunity to work for Gate 21, a puplic-private-initiative working with climate projects between the private sector and the Danish municipalities, it felt like an invitation to make a difference. That it was, too. But it was also an invitation to experience with your own eyes, brain and mind exactly how complicated it is to enable a society to transition from a fossil fuel-based energy system to green energy. My career at Gate 21 started in the role as PR consultant and evolved into the role as Head of Communications and events. In our department of 5 talented and har working professionals, we were responsible for with communications strategy, websites, membership magazine, press relations, newsletters and conferences. Never before or since in my career have I experienced a culture with the same degree of entrepreneurial spirit and professional determination like the one I experienced at Gate 21. Those were 3 very encouraging and fun years of my career. Show less
