I have worked with Lizzy for the past three years through our Face to Face program. The project requires people with the lived experience to go out and present to schools and community groups to enhance their knowledge about refugees and people seeking asylum. Lizzy has indeed been an active member of our program and a vocal advocate for fairer and more humane policies enriching the Australian community with her knowledge and experience. Lizzy’s resilience and passion is evident through her compassion and courage, her presentations are often very engaging and she has been a focal member of our team of presenters. Lizzy has contributed immensely to our program and we continue to engage with her through our Refugee Ambassadors Program. I highly recommend Lizzy for any program or project engagement.

The collage created a multicultural portfolio and my role as a multicultural officer, involves giving advice to school management teams, assisting students and their families as well as promoting multiculturalism. Part of my work is ensuring families from refugee backgrounds are well connected with the school and help with countering any barriers that might effect their engagement with the school, and or offer solutions. I create and run in-school fun, inclusive activities for all to participate for building positive relationships and enhancing students and parents and cares over all leaning goals. Show less
