  As Digital Designer at NewZapp email marketing I was responsible for proofing designs for email marketing templates using customer's branding guidelines, and for building and testing HTML emails. I also helped to shape the way the company appoached responsive email production, and produced graphical assets for the company's website and marketing, as well as user interface designs. I was also involved in the building of the latest version of the NewZapp software using XSL and JQuery. This role also showed me the joy of being able to make a difference to young people’s aspirations in life, and has distilled in me a passion for trying to encourage people to reach their full potential into higher education. Working within a small team, I was responsible for my own workload and time keeping, to liaise with students and academic subject matter experts to create bespoke digital learning resources. This role has not only greatly enhanced my digital and communication skills, but given me the flexibility to work in a rapidly changing environment.
