Green Turtle Lodge is one the most successful and best known beach lodges in West Africa. Managing 30 staff from the local community, and dealing with guests from various locations around the world has improved my skills in inter-cultural communication and understanding. Oct 2009 - Nov 2012
NHS West London Clinical Commissioning Group is made up of local GPs and health professionals who are responsible for buying health services from Hospital Trusts, Mental Health Trusts and community organisations. As the Business Manager for the Chief Executive and Executive Team of GPs I provided direct guidance and support during the transition and formation of the new organisation. Following my enrolment on the NHS Emerging Leaders programme I exceeded target savings through engaging members and improving communications. I worked closely with Business Intelligence and Finance to design a system which shared performance data in a way which was user friendly to project leads and gave the Executive Team visibility of performance against targets and was responsible for embedding the new system throughout the organisation. Furthermore, I led on the formulation of contracts worth 2.3 million including; activity, finance and outcome schedules and monitored contract performance against indicators. Show less
