I undertook a maternity cover contract at Tarporley High school as an NQT. I have taught all three sciences to years 7 and 8 as well as the GCSE Biology syllabus to years 10 and 11. I have had sole responsibility for these classes, planning and delivering lessons and assessing their work. My lesson observations have been deemed good with outstanding elements and my marking has been described as outstanding. Whilst looking after our children I ran a mother and toddler group, and helped with reading and science lessons at my childrens' school. I was a parent governor for four years with the Link governor role. During this time I took several training courses including safeguarding and safer recruitment, data analysis (RAISEonline) and handling school complaints. In 2010 I took my PGCE in secondary science.
