Spencer R.
Liz Gmoser is a skilled young engineer who was selected from a competitive pool of candidates to spend a 6-month co-op term with the Advanced Technology/ Animatronics team at Hasbro. I had the fortune of serving as her manager during this period and closely observed Liz’s development. Immediately after she began work, she made it clear that she was the right hire. Liz is very competent with 3D modeling complex mechanisms, merging those mechanisms with detailed 3D sculpts, and prototyping robotic characters. Whether a prototype or production sample, Liz is able to program animations into her models to make them come alive. In contrast with some of her peers, she accepts instruction with grace, takes initiative when solving complex problems, and seeks out guidance when needed. When placed in a team environment, Liz acts professionally and pushes herself to learn skills outside of her comfort zone to maximize her contributions. While her education is mechanically focused, she continues to be interested in, and teaches herself, electronics, software engineering, and robotics. I can say with confidence that Liz’s future employers will find her a meaningful addition to their team.

Liz Gmoser was an excellent addition to our engineering team at Poly6. She was very thoughtful and thorough in her approach to design challenges. She was frequently able to develop creative solutions to complex problems. While at Poly6, Liz worked with a small team to develop, build, and scale up equipment and processes in a unique additive manufacturing environment. She developed new drying and other post processing fixtures. She was responsible for design, construction, and validation of these fixtures and processes. More than anything, Liz brought boundless enthusiasm and a great sense of humor with her to work every day. She is hardworking and diligent, and was an absolute pleasure to work with. I would be very happy to have the chance to work with Liz in the future.
