The Field School for Environmental Organizing, is a yearlong fellowship program that provides classroom and hands-on training in grassroots organizing and advocacy skills. Fellows work with progressive organizations to operate 3-5 critical grassroots environmental or social change campaigns across the country. - Worked with Greenpeace USA to recruit and train over 60 student activists in grassroots efforts that successfully convinced the University of California Board of Regents to implement a landmark "Clean Energy and Green Building Standard" throughout their ten campuses. - Oversaw recruitment and initial training for one of the Fund for Public Interest Research's largest door-to-door summer canvass offices. Co-managed 40-60 staff that raised over $350,000. - Worked with the Defenders of Wildlife to organize diverse coalition of religious, environmental, and business organizations to persuade NJ Congressmen to protect national forest laws. - Directed Green Corps' donor fundraising program holding in-person visits with hundreds of individual donors. Inspired an average 500% increase in financial support by sharing personal story and organizational vision to train the next generation of environmental leaders. Show less
