As Editor of the Italian Art Society's Newsletter, I am responsible for the publication of the Newsletter’s three annual issues in the fall (7 October), spring (7 February) and summer (7 June). I am also responsible for the listing of member publications on the dedicated page of the IAS website. Special features generally consist of exhibition reviews, interviews with curators or artists, or short essays by artists or researchers. The Newsletter also features news about its members, such as reception of major awards, and society updates, such as sponsored sessions at major conferences. I have so far produced seven issues. Two of these were special issues: the first on women in Italian art (October 2021) and the second on the global future of Italian art history (June 2022 Show less

    • Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellow, History of Art Department
      • Oct 2018 - Present

I am a Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellow in the History of Art Department at the University of Warwick (2018-2022). I work on late medieval and early modern art and architecture, and my research focuses on the intersection of artistic and architectural practice in Europe, especially Italy. In particular, my work addresses the communicative powers of structure and ornament, the relationship between design and craftsmanship, the emergence of the architect as a professional figure, and the production of architectural knowledge. I am also interested in exchanges between Western Europe and the Byzantine and Ottoman empires. Before joining Warwick, I was a fellow at The Warburg Institute in London (2017) and taught at the University of York (2014 and 2016) and the Courtauld Institute of Art, London (2018). Show less
