Barret, E.

Eleanor recently helped us write a grant for the City of Oakland Cultural Funding Project. She was incredibly organized, informed and thorough, and helped to shepherd us through this process, even though some of us had very little experience with grant writing. She developed strategies for us all to have input, and her writing skills and attention to detail are both excellent. I am looking forward to working with her again!

Eleanor edited my book manuscript The Archaeology of North American Intentional Communities, scheduled to be published by the University Press of Florida in 2017. Her attention to detail, scholarly rigor, and clear communication were invaluable in improving and preparing the work for submittal. She challenged me to bring liveliness to academic writing, and was a delight to work with.

As a freelance editor with an academic background, I provide precise, collaborative feedback that incorporates considerations of structure, clarity and voice. I’m best deployed as a developmental editor, a fixer of stuck and broken manuscripts, beating them back into coherent, engaging narratives. Clear, vital communication is a cross-disciplinary need. Spooky, Sexy, Sci-fi, Sleuth-y. This early ebook innovator once cranked out some best-sellers. You've probably read some of their books already. I made sure they were free of distracting typos.
