Eleanor recently helped us write a grant for the City of Oakland Cultural Funding Project. She was incredibly organized, informed and thorough, and helped to shepherd us through this process, even though some of us had very little experience with grant writing. - Design, implement and manage an array of interactive educational and public programs for HAHS, including the Museum for History and Culture and affiliated historic properties: McConaghy House, Meek Mansion, and the San Lorenzo Pioneer Cemetery. - Recruit, train and supervise volunteers needed for the operation of the Museum, historic sites and related educational programs and events. - Build curriculum for, train tour guides, conduct and evaluate tours for K-12 students and adults at all sites. - Plan and organize special events, including film screenings, Black History Month celebrations, guest speakers and round table discussions - Organize special programs and outreach for area school teachers, community college and university audiences, and the greater area homeschooling groups.
