  My first job on Curacao. My responsibilities were partially focused on finishing the renovation hotel project in downtown Willemstad. This hotel project needed a lot of work still and they finished the first phase of this project in 2011. Curacao was economically unstable at the time. The owners are also owners of the casino next to the hotel. Originally they wished to start with 2 hotels on the same property. However, marketing wise this would be a challenge in expenses and in targeting the right guests to both hotels on the same property. I made a plan to extend the first hotel with a different service level, look and feel, etc.This project was not finished in 2014, however, the project was picked up again in 2017 and is almost finished.
