Working with Lisa was an absolute pleasure from start to finish, not only because of her professionalism but also because of her obvious passion for protecting children from harm. Her background in the police force made her training very relevant, at times shockingly so, due to her real life experiences in child protection. Her creativity and personable nature made the training even more effective and I would highly recommend Lisa for all these reasons.

    • Detective Sergeant Family Protection Team Clitheroe
      • 2000 - 2003

Based in Clitheroe the unit I supervised the investigation of both child and vulnerable adults abuse cases in East Lancashire as well as coordinating multi agency responses to safeguarding concerns about children or vulnerable adults. I represented the Police on the 3 multi-agency Local Safeguarding children and adults boards across Lancashire, Blackpool and Blackburn with Darwen and delivering training as part of a multi-agency team to meet National and local standards. In 2002 I was part of a multi-agency team that visited Michigan USA to investigate a unique way of dealing with child protection risks whilst allowing the child to remain within the household. This model was successfully brought back to Blackburn where the model was adapted to fit local requirements and ‘The Blackburn Family Regeneration Project’ still runs today.I acquired skills in the interviewing of vulnerable and intimidated victims/witnesses known as 'achieving best evidence' (ABE) during my time at Clitheroe, conducting interviews with child and adult victims of abuse.
