After the success of Facebook group "Dutchies in Australia" (currently 20.000+ members) and the establishment of Facebook profile "Lisanna AU" who represents an online travel agent that is available whenever and where the customer wants it, before during and after their trip: I started up my own online agency: Dutchies Travel. Dutchies Travel mainly sells travel to young Dutch travellers, but also to people from all over the world! On top of that, it also represents a platform for agents all around the world, currently focusing on Australia, New Zealand and Fiji - and expanded to Canada and the USA in 2019, and Bali, Europa and Africa in 2020. Lisanna AU has lived and worked in Australia since 2013 and has become a central point of advice for many dutch travellers. She sells travel, but also provides advice and assistant with many common troubles, worries and questions solo-travellers have! #supermum Because all our agents (currently employing seven) are Dutch but have lived in the country where the traveller intends to visit and because the agents have experienced most trips/locations at first hand: They give you the most honest and the best advice that suits the person travelling. Honest, experienced, personalised travel advice that comes fast and at no extra cost. The travel agents are reachable through the chat or on Facebook and react within 8 hours. (agents cover different time-zone's. )They speak Dutch (duh) but also fluent English and if you are really lucky: maybe even German/French or Spanish! We have expanded our team within the first 5 months, which now consists of a team of 15 working from all corners of the world. (Canada, Holland, New Zealand, Melbourne and Bali!). It's my ambition to reach out to other agents across the world, and work with different business partners across the world, so Dutch travellers can find a Dutch person to help them where ever they travel to!

After the success of Dutchies Travel, Roberta Gansen and myself decided to duplicate Dutchies Travel to another nationality: the Germans. Keeping in mind the cultural differences, we provide our German neighbours with the same quality service and assist them in their own language, maintaining a very personalised and honest approach. We currently consist of a team of 5 Germans Travel teaches me to work with a different culture, and already I am experiencing having to establish a different hierarchy structure then we have at the team of Dutchies Travel. We are experimenting with our first paid advertising strategies, which is contributing to the growth of our marketing team and we are facing new and interesting marketing challenges. In August 2019 we launched the "Awesome Aussie Race". A marketing campaign where two Dutch travellers and two German travellers battled against each other in a race to collect points, travelling from Sydney to Cairns in their own campervan. During this race, we work together with influencers, sponsors and tourism boards across Australia. I am hoping to get it to a level, where we can repeat the campaign yearly. Germans Travel also provides a new technology opportunity. We have started to build a smart website, tracking people's interest and travel behaviour. We are currently building a system that lets the traveller decide their own travel, based on our advice, but automating the process via an easy-to-use webshop. Both marketing and technology opportunities are used in Germans and Dutchies Travel, and will hopefully set the base to grow DOT Travel HQ, my umbrella company for more travel branches.

In my role as account manager, I am responsible for the implementation of our transition project we started in August 2020. The transition involves implementing and updating the CRM program, taking responsibility for all new incoming enquiries and follow-ups, cold sales, PR and Account Management, and continuing to set up training material by documenting every step of the learning processes. My ambition is to grow my knowledge and assist tourism operators to expand their businesses by providing an incredible glamping experience to their customers. I want to expand my network in domestic Australian tourism and become the go-to person from the Glamping Industry in Australia.

I prepared a 120+ page training manual, where we reported all procedures of the company including mission, vision and goals, industry information, product information and procedures, sales processes and email templates, and marketing schedules & strategies. The project took a total of 6 weeks.

Adventure Tourism Victoria (ATV) is a new generation, not-for-profit association whose purpose is to support the adventure tourism market in the state of Victoria. We actively work alongside like-minded organizations in this sector across Australia including BOA NSW & Adventure Queensland. I started the association after gathering over 30 Melburnian tourism legends on a Wednesday night in August 2018, I found out that there is a need for this body to exist, and continued by conducting a survey between 60 people in the industry. This survey led to forming the committee, who voted me as president and together we launched our incorporate association in January 2019. We seek to support our sector via the following methods: 1. Support business in the sector through ongoing training and support. Our executive committee is comprised of a talented group of dedicated industry professionals with decades of support in accommodation management, tour operations, travel agent businesses, car rentals and a range of other organisations. 2. Lobby government at a local, state & national levels in support of the wider adventure tourism sector. Key points that we plan on lobbying include rising visa costs of working holiday visas, ongoing negative media coverage of the sector, farmworker exploitation, expansion of working holiday program to emerging countries & illegal lodgings and subletting undercutting legal hostels. 3. Provide industry professionals with an annual calendar of networking & social events that would include membership drink nights, industry training workshops and of course an annual gala ball!

New Gold Media is not an advertisement agency, but a place for all media design in which an exceptional creative team produce content suitable for any media platform. As new idea's took over, New Gold Media had to make room for new developments and opportunities and the company is no longer trading - but I am still working on freelance marketing strategies, implementing social media strategies and branding/ design. Customers include: James Squire Brewhouse, Euro Truck Spares, Gezinsbalans.com, lolcomedy.com.au. This business has ceased as I no longer had time for design, but it always remained a passion.

Therefor, within my Communication and Media study, I researched the subject of how businesses can profit from a training with horses, known in the field of Equi-coaching. My thesis lead to an advice for advisory company's, who offer leadership trainings and effective team building. Besides my thesis, I have created a documentary for trainers and companies, to not only explain what such a training includes, but to visualize the process and its effects.

Into the Wild was an employment agency for backpackers from all over the world. Each year, thousands of backpackers find work in the fruit and vegetable harvest in Australia. In our opinion, fruit picking is something every backpacker needs to experience once in his/her life. Fruit picking is not just working hard and earning a lot of money, it is also having a good time. Being surrounded by other backpackers from all over the world, people enjoy the atmosphere and weekly barbecues! Into the wild provided a safe and fun workplace, but also took care of all transport, accommodation and activities in the area it worked in. At every farm we set up a team with a team-leader if help was needed. My job was the maintaining of the website & flyers, marketing, accounting, bookkeeping, and all communication to and from the company. The company had a $500.000 turnover in the first four months. I ended up selling the company, as I was ready for a new challenge.
