Lisa was my mentor at Western Governors University from 2009 – 2010. She was very helpful getting me acclimated to fitting school into my career schedule. She spoke with me weekly or at least twice a month to check on my progress, help me prioritize work, and offer answers to any questions I had. I do not think I could have had a better mentor to get me on the right track to a successful run at WGU. Considering how many students she was mentoring, she always made my experience on the phone specifically for me – not like a cookie cutter approach to customer service. I was often surprised at how many details she remembered about my previous calls or situation with classes. Getting to know your students and how to drive them in an encouraging way is a rare skill and I can see Lisa being a great asset to any company.
