Marketing and Communications Manager
-
Jan 2011 - Sep 2016
Leading the marketing team, I have successfully increased awareness of the Student’s Union with the development and implementation of a range of marketing strategies and campaigns. I have promoted the range of activities, events and services to stakeholders throughout the University and identified support requirements for services including the Job Centre, Lettings Agent, Advice and Support Centre, Volunteering Service and Students Societies Initiative.Additionally, I have promoted the entertainment, performances and events at the sister company, The Forum Hertfordshire and supported management-level decision making with the analysis and presentation of accurate and effective market research. This has enabled me to support, develop and manage the marketing team across both organisations and control all relevant marketing budgets.Notably, I have improved customer engagement with the development and execution of events including the Fresher’s Fair, increased online impressions by 30% and improved both advertising and sales revenues. I have also increased interactions with the delivery of the well-being awareness campaign for 1000 students and launched new club nights within The Forum Hertfordshire, doubling customer retention following the implementation of a multi-channel CRM system within new websites, and improving data analysis.

Assistant Marketing Manager
-
Apr 2009 - Jan 2011
With a focus on developing and implementing marketing campaigns, I increased awareness of the Union, activities, events and services within the student body and stakeholders. This delivered an increase to annual survey participant levels by 200% with the implementation of a new market research strategy. I also improved the analysis of customer experiences with the development and execution of a mystery shopper programme. I also achieved budget controls, deadlines and expectations with a refresh to designs for student-facing services.

Sales and Marketing Coordinator
-
Jun 2006 - Apr 2009
During this role, I maximised income levels within the Student’s Union with the development and implementation of sales and sponsorship activities. This included the development of fundraising opportunities in conjunction with media contacts, and the coordination of activities including Fresher’s Week events. Within this 3-year period, I successfully increased advertising sales revenues by 50%, improved student engagement levels to 5,000 at the Fresher’s Fair events and increased revenues year on year with the renegotiation of sponsorships and sales contracts.
