Lisa has been a pleasure to work with for two years on the Q Hotels and Springboard partnership to inspire the next generation of talent into the hospitality industry. Lisa is extremely passionate about her company, her team and the industry. Always striving for innovative new ways of doing business, it was great partnering with Lisa to tackle the long term structural staffing challenges the industry faces with fresh new ideas. Would wholly recommend working with Lisa and we at Springboard are excited by what's to come.

Lisa has been instrumental in bringing the Q Hotels apprenticeship strategy to fruition and has been integral to its multiple successes, including developing the initial recruitment campaign (for which Q Hotels won a Springboard award in 2016), and implementation of the overall apprenticeship strategy which won this year's Springboard Apprenticeship Strategy Award. I am very proud that HIT Training Ltd has partnered Lisa and her team in this award winning programme, not only creating roles for young people new to the hospitality industry but also developing and broadening the skills of existing staff. Lisa is always a pleasure to work with and I would not hesitate to recommend her.

As Head of HR, I am primarily accountable for the Eden Hotel Collection People Strategy, leading the HR team across the collection of 5 hotels and Head Office as well as providing HR support for two divisions of our parent company Rigby Group Plc. Our vision is to take a modern approach to HR - focused on talent management, apprenticeship initiatives, engagement and innovation more so than a process driven employee relations approach. That said, common sense and legally compliant management of complex HR matters remains a necessary essential. Our collection is focused on luxury and providing the very best experience for our guests – to deliver this, we are committed to recruiting future stars and developing our own teams. The result has been a number of EHC programmes designed for progression, with tangible success as a result of our academy/apprenticeship programmes. A cluster role providing HR support to three hotels – Brandon Hall (120 beds), De Montfort Hotel (108) and Ansty Hall (63), including the supervision of Cluster HR Administrator. As my first hotel HR role, there was lots to learn...and where I got bitten by the hotel bug, I've not looked back since!
