Job Description: Executive Assistant to the President and Chief Editorial OfficerBasic Function:The Executive Assistant is responsible for supporting the President and Chief Editorial Officer on any and all short and long-term tasks as needed, especially setting up editor and other VIP visits inside and outside the office; helping to organizing and facilitating out-of-town editorial board meetings and other business and social events in the US and Europe; sending hundreds of gifts throughout the year; and being an Ambassador for the company.Responsibilities:• Keep calendar for President and Chief Editorial officer• Set up meetings and travel • Book travel and hotel for all visiting guests.• Arrange food functions for visiting guests• Research and arrange venues and catering for out-of-town meetings and parties. Oversee marketing of all MAL Journals, Books, and Newsletters (Over 80 publications) to various meetings, symposia, and conferences worldwide through ad exchanges and shipment of materials- Negotiate marketing agreements with conference organizers of Journal specific meetings to secure distribution of materials and/or eblasts to meeting attendees.
