The Boys’ Brigade (BB) in Northern Ireland is a voluntary Christian youth organisation for children and young people aged 4 – 18 years that works in partnership with nine main church denominations in NI. We have over 260 BB groups in NI with around 11,500 members aged 4 – 18.BB is open and inclusive to all children and young people, of all faiths and none. Members do not need to have any prior involvement with the BB Company or the partner church. We have almost 2,500 volunteer leaders and deliver a varied programme including Bible teaching, sport, drama, craft, outdoor pursuits, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, community service and young leadership training. The ‘Advancement of Christ’s Kingdom’ is central to the work of The Boys’ Brigade in NI. A balanced programme is based on six key elements to give members the opportunity to learn grow and discover in a safe place: Get Learning, Get Adventurous, Get Involved, Get into the Bible, Get Active, Get Creative. I have the privilege of leading the staff team in Northern Ireland.
