As a lifelong musician, I have learned to appreciate and recognize true talent. Hearing Lisa sing though, has taken it to a whole new level. Although she specializes in Jazz, she has a "Phenominal" ability to sing any type of music. She can create a sentimental mood and capture the hearts of her listeners. She is a "True" entertainer and I will go out of my way to see her perform. Her following speaks for itself.

Lisa is a total professional, period. I have worked gigs and clinics for several years with Lisa and she is organized to a tee. She has a diverse amount of jazz material she can present, from the "Red Hot Mama" tunes, without the usual "over the top" presentation, and from Ella and Sarah to Jobim and Michael Buble. Her clinics show that she has complete knowledge about what she is doing and she is exceptionally good at taking what someone already has and demonstrating to them their potential. From a business standpoint, she is the ONLY musician I have worked with for the last 5 years that got the group part of the contract money after a cancellation. From a musicians standpoint, I don't think I need to go any further than the last statement. Lisa is completely rounded in what she does. It is a crime that she doesn't have a university level position. For any of you university types reading this.......get off you duffs!

One of the 320 international jazz artists, mentors & educators profiled in the book," The New Face of Jazz," & a 2013 "Jacksonville Jazz Festival's Hall of Fame" inductee, highly acclaimed jazz vocalist & mentor. Lisa has performed nationally/internationally as a guest solo artist with big bands, small groups, & leading/co-leading groups. Earning her B. M. & M.M. Degrees in Jazz Studies, studying with jazz legends Bunky Green, Jack Petersen & Bil Prince, she earned many scholarships & awards, including 8 Down Beat Magazine "Best Collegiate" Awards (6 Vocalist, 1 Original Composition, 1 Original Arrangement). She's performed at the Kennedy Center, Vienna State Opera House, throughout Austria & in New Orleans, LA, & the first "Mulligan-Matteson Scholarship" winner. Lisa co-leads groups with Yamaha trumpet artist JB Scott: "The Kelly/Scott Quintet," (classic jazz) "JB Scott's Swingin' Allstars," (New Orleans/Chicago Swing), "Sophisticated Swing," (10-pc big band), "The Florida Swing Orchestra" (18-pc big band). Formerly featured vocalist with "The Larry Elgart Orchestra" & currently with "The St. Johns River City Big Band," she is an independently contracting artist/clinician & solo artist with collegiate to professional groups, jazz club rhythm sections to big bands, music programs to high profile artist series, & presents clinics for national music conventions, teaches voice, music theory combos for jazz camps, private music school, mentors jazz vocalists, adjudicates for jazz vocal/instrumental competitions, is a notable published song writer/recording artist/studio vocalist, has co-released 6 well received CD recordings, has been featured on numerous CD's, TV & radio programs. Lisa has become well known for her vocal jazz & audition prep clinics at JEN, FJE & FMEA for FVA/FBA.
