 I look after 2 areas in the business OneCart and Woolies dash  When I started the company was using an external company to handle all their IR matters. In less than a month of being in the company I changed that, and I now deal with all the IR matters, from day to day discipline to disciplinary hearings and CCMA matters.  I am the designated IR person for the entire company  I do the training of supervisors, shoppers from an operations perspective  I have drafted IR training manuals, new policies and procedures, a new disciplinary code, new warning formats.  I work exclusively from home and all meetings, hearings and now training will be done remotely  I deal with salaries and the complaints  I implemented many new structures, formats and differences in the company, and I am proud to say my input has saved us money and made a positive impact.  Besides my IR impact, I do weekly reports on my headcount  Interacting with staff all the time to update their staff file, to listen to their problems and to resolve it where I can.  I play a role in the interviewing of staff, we have a recruitment department, but I form part of the interview panel and have an input on the successful candidate  I hold supervisor meetings weekly in order to train them on IR matters, to listen to the new challenges and to come to a solution for difficult situations.  My job differs from day to day, it is never quiet and has the most rewarding outcomes, I work with a brilliant support structure from the HR team to all supervisors and managers Massmart bought 87% of the company and they have their own ER team, which means that I am now a HR People Partner and I no longer deal with the IR matters except for capturing warnings. In December 2022, we became Walmart and slowly our structure is changing. Show less
