  My responsibilites included screening and scheduling potential research subjects for various research studies at the University of Michigan. I started out in the Department of Otolaryngology, where I conducted Cochlear Implant Studies for 8 years. I then trasnsfered to the Department of Internal Medicine where I conducted studies for the Division of Gastroenterology. Research subjects were recruited for IBS, Crohns and constipation studies, sponsored by pharmaceutical companies. I worked on a National Lung Screening Trial where we recruited over 800 subjects. My duties included prepartation of IRB applications and renewals, as well as completing case report forms. I worked directly with study patients on protocol requirements including but not limited to venipuncture, measurement of vitals, drug and diary accountability and ECG recordings.
