Lisa was a phenomenal mentor to me. I cannot thank her enough for the leadership skills she helped instill in me. I am SO happy to see that she is continuing to lead the onboarding of incoming University of Minnesota students. These unprecedented times call for creative thinking and unwavering care for students, and Lisa has that in spades.

In this position, I worked with 402 students of color on academic scholarships and enrolled in the MAP PROGRAM. This required me to monitor the academic and developmental progress of these students to ensure scholarship renewal. In addition, I created, implemented and evaluation 38 academic workshops per year and organized a formal academic recognition program for 250 graduating seniors enrolled in our program.
