I worked with Lisa for several years as one of her supervisors and always found her to be professional and courteous when dealing with co-workers and the public. Ms. Golembiewski was a consistently dependable employee who could be relied upon to work without close supervision. In addition to her regularly assigned duties Ms. Golembiewski contributed much effort on special assignments and projects aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of the department and the service we provide. I have no reservation recommending Lisa for a position of responsibility.

Lisa brings an understanding of the underpinnings involved in law enforcement and how they align and differ from higher education moreover, the relevant roles each institution fulfills as a community servant and leader.

The sudden and violent death of a loved one or friend is an incalculable loss. It brings trauma and pain that hits at the core of our being. The added layers of societal insensitivity, along with the stark nature of the justice system processes, means that many survivors face emotional, physical and financial challenges that can be invisible to many who haven’t been through the horror of murder. As coping with the death of a loved one is for a lifetime, many survivors have found that seeking support and counsel is crucial to their long-term well being, along with the resources from a Victim Advocate. Homicide Advocates share information about an unfamiliar criminal justice system that existed not to provide support to grieving families, but to prosecute offenders. Homicide Survivors instrumental in our state constitution being amended to afford crime victims substantive rights to participate in our criminal justice system. I am an outspoken advocate for all victims of homicide and their families, for fair compensation to victims, and for public policy and understanding that reduces the senseless violence sweeping our communities. Homicide Survivors always offers one on one counseling, support groups across the state, court support throughout the judicial process, personal advocacy in working with law enforcement and other community agencies, and planning and business meetings to further our advocacy and educational goals. We are here throughout your journey for however long you need our support. Show less
