      At Urban Strategies Council, Lisa founded the Alameda County Community Asset Network (AC CAN), a coalition of income and asset building organizations. Under Lisa’s leadership, AC CAN emerged as a national model and was designated a Lead Local Organization for CFED’s national Assets and Opportunity Network. She developed the Council’s approach to health equity and cross-sector partnerships to address social, economic and racial disparities in health. A collaboration between AC CAN the Alameda County Public Health Department was awarded a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation grant for income protection strategies as public health promotion. Lisa staffed the Council’s Equitable Economic Development and Workforce Development efforts, including a Community Wealth and Ownership table in pursuit of anchor institution strategies for job creation and community asset building.
