I interned for barrister Martin Canny in Dublin, Ireland. Mr. Canny is an experienced lawyer with a large breadth of knowledge in the civil arena. I was able to observe him in the Irish Supreme Court, as well as in private consultations with clients concerning areas such as property law, employment law, landlord/tenant law, personal injury law, and contract law. I also observed court at many different levels in the Irish legal system. I performed research for Mr. Canny, comparing Irish law and law in the United States. I also attended a seminar on how to negotiate effectively in the legal setting.
