Lisa is one of those rare sales leaders who consistently delivers on promise, month after month. Never fazed by a sales target, she simply works with her team on a strategy to deliver. She is an expert in Government procurement and her skill set encompasses almost any type of technology. I’m going to miss working with Lisa, and hope our paths cross again in the future.

Over the past few years I have enjoyed the privilege of working with Lisa on several major, and challenging, Federal Government accounts, and to me it was those challenges that allowed Lisa's capabilities to shine. For the client, her strong relationship management, attention to detail, and ability to communicate in a clear concise manner allowed Lisa to minimise or remove road blocks. For those working as part of her delivery team, we were given clear direction and her full support. Lisa has a dynamic personality, good leadership ability, and excellent relationship management capability. She is outcome driven, but ensures she takes the team along with her. I would very much enjoy having an opportunity to work with Lisa again in the future.

Digital interaction technologies are changing the way that humans interact both in the physical and digital worlds. Whilst humans are still humans, the fundamental characteristics of digital systems mean that these interactions are different – they are instantaneous, they are global and they are ubiquitous. We have systems and processes built for the physical world, and, whilst many of these principles still hold a new way of thinking is needed. We believe that this can only be achieved by going back to basics, by examining humans as humans and then placing them within the digital context. This is what Web Science is doing by bringing together the academic fields of the social sciences – anthropology, ethnography, psychology and sociology – with those of the computer and information sciences. - source intersticia.com.au Who is Web Science Australia? In May 2008 the International Metadata Forum was held in Sydney, and for the following three years a small group of dedicated and enthusiastic people organised and hosted the Meta events in Canberra. These conferences were aimed at bringing together the various and varying conversations being held within the many communities who comprise the information management world, from librarians to archivists; web designers to journalists; policy makers to CIOs.In 2011 the Institute of Metadata Management was formed to provide a vehicle within which the growing community could function. In October 2012 we recognised the need to expand our horizons, whilst at the same time not losing our core, and as such the IMM changed its name and focus to become Web Science Australia. We are a diverse organisation with key members representing the private sector, public service, entrepreneurs and academia within Australian and around the world. We have strong links to organisations such as Web Science Trust (UK), Web Science Institute at Southampton University and Intersticia.

IMM is a community of practice. It provides environments within which practitioners and policy makers can collaboratively understand and promote the importance of data, metadata and information in context. We hope to enable better information management, better decision making and action. My responsibility within the IMM involves the coordination of existing and establishment of new state chapters, working with various stakeholders to ensure that we’re delivering useful and accurate content to our members.
