Marketing Executive
-
Jan 2019 - Sep 2021
As Marketing Executive I oversee the creative brief and distribution for in-store marketing campaigns, primarily within the books department. This involves considering appropriate methods of presentation, the necessity of items, and directing the appropriate design and message of point of sale. Beyond this project management role, I also aid in reviewing budgets, arranging occasional press advertising, and liaising between teams for ad hoc marketing requirements. I also assist with store trials, helping to produce and then analyse changes to in store point of sale and how this can influence customer behaviour. Alongside this position I assist the social media team with development of digital marketing strategies. This role involves studying online trends to develop post subjects, organising the schedule, producing both copy and imagery, and finally scheduling and releasing posts. Show less

Events Administrative Assistant
-
Oct 2018 - Dec 2018
As Administrative Assistant to the events team, I helped during their busiest period to ensure all book signing events were organised and ran smoothly. On a daily basis, this involved consolidating information into events briefs, handling finances and invoices, liaising with venues, stores and publicists, alongside acting as the contact for all these points to ensure everyone had the required information. I assisted stores on a local scale if they were running their own event, as well as helping larger stores solve queries during the lead up to larger events. I also aided with events themselves, helping with book selling and running signings on site at the head office, as well as in store. This included meeting with authors and their teams, interacting with customers to ensure everyone was prepared for the book signing, handling ticket scanning, and being on the shop floor to ensure the book signings ran smoothly.
