  Working in the Fluvial and Coastal research group. I focus on connectivity in sub-arctic rivers. The aim of my PhD is to develop new effective tools for river management, flood protection, restoration and rehabilitation of riverine environments at high latitudes by updating the international Quantitative metrics of connectivity utilizing parameters specific for sub-arctic river systems, and later creating effective geocomputing and remote sensing methods for mapping and modeling river system connectivity on multiple scales.

Collecting and analysing laser scan data of tree line gardens in the Kevo sub-arctic research station for valuable knowledge on birch evolution and traits relevant for adapting to changing climate in sub-arctic areas.
