Provides crisis intervention and supportive counseling through Fayette County Crisis Line/Chestnut Ridge Counseling Services. The Crisis Line is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for anyone who is currently facing a Mental Health Crisis. Crisis is also available in office for one-on-one walk-in crisis services through the Chestnut Ridge Office. Crisis workers also conduct mental health evaluations via a mobile team in the community for individuals who may need to be linked to services in their area or who may need to be hospitalized for more care. Crisis assists with the completion of 302 warrants for involuntary hospitalization. During the 302 process the crisis workers/team work closely with Fayette County Mental Health Delegates, PSP, Local Police, Ambulance Services and County Constables. Crisis conducts hospital evaluations for those individuals who are 13 years of age or younger that have been taken to the hospital for a mental health evaluation. During that time the crisis worker completes evaluations and can determine if there is a need for more specialized care at an inpatient adolescent unit or through outpatient services. During the hospital process, the crisis worker also conducts beds searches at area hospitals and completes insurance pre-certifications. Show less
