• Designing the Secondary content of education programs, workshops, outreach, teacher-led lessons, games, websites, apps, and ensuring they meet the National and State curriculum outcomes whilst delivering the key messaging and values of the customer organisation. • Supervising the design and development teams to ensure all products, including online interactive lessons, educational websites, educational phone apps and games, in addition to tangible resources such as costumes, books, info cards, boards, mats and banners are of exceptional quality. • Organising teacher focus groups to test user experience of existing websites and resources and use this research and data to inform the design and development of the new programs. • Training client facilitators in host schools to deliver their new programs including: arranging trial sessions with High School students and teachers to road test lessons, resources and digital materials and reflect on any improvements needed. Key Achievements: • Redesigning the High School outreach program for Sydney Trains. This included developing five workshops focusing on 5 key rail safety messages suitable for Stage 4 and 5 students. All materials and props fitted into a portable trolley small enough for a standard car boot and were exceptionally hard wearing, whilst remaining engaging and branded for Sydney Trains. Facilitators’ guides, lesson plans and additional documentation were supplied both graphically designed and word processed which may be required as evidence in court. • Delivering video conference virtual excursions on behalf of the Australian Egg Corporation and Meat and Livestock Australia, using interactive web-based resources, SMART Bridgit connection software, table display items and even a document camera over an incubator of live chicks! Each workshop was delivered weekly to ten schools with students aged between 6 and 12 from across Australia, including through DART Connections for DOE Schools. Show less

This included observing lessons and supporting teachers, filming my own lessons for trainings, developing slides and Notebooks for all subjects to utilise and creating cross-curricular rubrics for students to self-assess their soft skills development.• Supporting all subjects to include creative activities or tasks in their units of work by attending subject department meetings to provide ideas and inspiration, organising for staff to observe my lessons, sharing ideas in the staff newsletters and weekly whole faculty meetings and creating opportunities for teachers to share ideas and resources in a safe and constructive environment.• Delivering training on and implementing a high standard for learning environments and communal areas with engaging and relevant displays and high quality resources. • Developing and writing new units of work to reflect the curriculum changes to Stage 4 as part of the North Leeds City Maths Teaching working group. This has been implemented across 8 secondary schools in North Leeds City.• All formative and summative assessment across Stage 4, matching this to learning outcomes and analysing teachers’ class data, implementing intervention where required. By Easter 2014, over 80% of Stage 4 students had made above expected progress in Maths.• Introducing the use of diagnostic tests to show student progress, and student tracking documents for students to see what they needed to learn and how to progress in each unit; encouraging independent learning.• Inviting in a structural engineering company to run functional maths lessons and broaden students’ aspirations for careers using Maths.• Supporting the school’s Numeracy across the Curriculum programme, by training staff in how to include numeracy in their lessons and to promote a positive attitude towards being numerate across staff and students.• Running staff training sessions on the use of Smart Notebook and interactive resources in lesson planning and delivery. (E.g. • Designing and implementing new school workshops to support the delivery of new findings from the archaeology department. These included: a ‘Tudor Medicine’ workshop, a ‘Tudor school’ workshop, ‘Being a Tudor Child’ day visit, ‘Viking Medicine’, ‘Viking Fashion’, ‘Song and Saga’ and ‘Viking and Tudor Battle Tactics’. These were implemented across the four museums and were also portable for our outreach program delivering workshops in rural schools. These were aimed at Upper Primary and Secondary-aged students. • Sourcing and making of all the resources to make the experience as authentic as possible. Re purposing the store room into a Tudor classroom where students could use feather quills and horn inkwells to write Latin on parchment, use wooden reckoning boards for mathematical calculations and grind oak apples to make their own ink. • Driving out to rural schools, community groups, country shows and exhibitions to deliver outreach versions of my workshops and educational historical displays. • Designing tours for Stage 5+ covering the architecture, social history and leisure and tourism course content and running tailored tours for VIP parties and University of the Third Age groups. • During school holidays, supporting in the running of the museum both front and back of house. I was involved in the public and private events teams which involved: running weddings and private parties, children’s birthday parties, promotional events for the Trust and large scale events such as the Jorvik Viking Festival.
