Lindsey Gartner was an exceptional colleague during her time working with America Works of California, Inc. Lindsey’s role at America Work of California, Inc was a Work First Fellow, but it included other additional roles as a Trainer and Ticket to Work Coordinator. I worked with Lindsey in a virtual capacity, and she went beyond to assist the Ticket to Work team in case management duties such as going over with potential clients and scheduling orientation meetings to explain to beneficiaries about the Ticket to Work program; she completed intake packets and individual work plans for clients to enroll for pre-employment. Lindsey led virtual training sessions/webinars for clients on various career development topics like resume building and story telling skills for an interview. Also, she was supportive to the team to create a folder on Microsoft Outlook with case management manual and resources for the orientation, pre-intake, and intake processes, and outreach and email templates. These files are helpful for the Ticket to Work team when communicating with leads and clients about the ins and outs of the program and are great refreshers for staff.
