Lindsay is a solicitor in the Business Compliance and Enforcement team at Eversheds specialising in contentious and non-contentious regulatory work. She advises and defends companies, individual employees and directors, who find themselves the subject of a criminal investigation. Her experience covers a wide variety of regulatory matters including health and safety, environmental crime, food safety, consumer protection and trading standards and licensing. She has advised clients who are being investigated by the Police and HSE in relation to corporate manslaughter investigations and has experience of Coroner's Inquests. Lindsay is a specialist in crisis management and assists clients through the enforcement process from the investigation stage, through interviews under caution and ultimately any court process.Lindsay has experience also of prosecuting on behalf of the Health and Safety Executive as well as on behalf of a large water company. Lindsay is interested in statutory nuisance cases and has experience in advising clients who are appealing against noise abatement notices. Lindsay also has experience of advising local authorities who have issued noise abatement notices which are being appealed.Lindsay has appeared regularly in the Magistrates' Court representing clients at preliminary applications and conducting pleas in mitigation.Lindsay is also involved in providing seminars and training to both internal and external clients on Corporate Manslaughter, Directors' Duties and investigations by regulatory bodies.In addition to her contentious work, Lindsay has provided technical advice in relation to labelling and compliance work and has particular experience of international project management and has managed international compliance work
