  Currently, I manage daily organizational operations and spearhead strategies to advocate equal citizenship for the Coptic Christians of Egypt and minorities in the Middle East. My activities include building coalitions, engaging supporters, and fostering positive stakeholder and vendor relationships. I also direct fundraising and public relations initiatives including event planning, media relations, and Internet marketing strategies such as website development and social media campaigns. Highlights of my top achievements in this position to date include: • Co-authored resolutions with Congressional members in support of Coptic equality and religious freedom including the Coptic Churches Accountability Act, H. RES. 673 in the last session of Congress, and the current H. RES. 49 with 76 cosponsors. • Expanded influence with US legislators from a few champions to several dozen as a result of regular briefing meetings with them, the State Department, and the US Commission on International Religious Freedom. • Lobbied United Nations (UN) Country Missions successfully on a variety of issues and currently representing Coptic Solidarity in a bid for UN Special Consultative Status.• Enhanced organizational profile through the successful execution of annual 2-day conferences, and elevated status by securing high-profile global speakers including legislators, ambassadors, and officials. • Modernized operations by implementing enterprise management software to integrate donor management, e-communications, and advocacy to a single platform with trackable data and analytics.   I was promoted to this director-level position following successful tenures in a series of progressively responsible roles. Charged with creating and executing business plans and budgets for projects, I supported religious freedom in over 70 countries. My activities included developing relationships and conducting quiet diplomacy with contacts in the U.S. Government, Congress, and UN. I also orchestrated large advocacy campaigns, coordinating media events and serving as spokesperson, and designing email communications that generated $1M in donations in 2012. My key contributions in this position included: • Established the advocacy program from the ground up, growing from almost no name recognition to becoming a prominent member of established coalitions, new partnerships, and high-profile relationships. • Facilitated passage of bills and resolutions, and highlighted areas requiring attention, by introducing the IRF Congressional Scorecard, the first to grade Legislators on prioritization of international religious freedom. • Enhanced organizational reputation as one of the organization’s main spokespeople at the UN and public events, as well as serving as an expert media source conducting numerous live radio and print interviews. • Gained membership on a coalition of NGOs that successfully lobbied against the Defamation of Religions Resolution, the main resolution undermining free speech rights which was passing annually at the UN.
