A TDT Counselor provides interventions and counseling services, in both the school and home, that are designed to successfully address a child’s mental health, emotional, and behavioral issues that create a barrier to learning. Counselor offers both individual and group sessions during the school day. Counselor addresses ADHD, PTSD, anger management, impulse control, social interactions, and problem solving skills among many other services. In-home Counselors provides child-centered and family-focused treatment within the home environment for as many as 10 hours per week. During this time family and individual counseling is provided. Overall focus is on the clinical and functional deficits of the child and family, as well as their strengths and abilities, and utilizes evidenced-based practices to provide insight and behavioral change. Mental Health Skills builders provide training and support to adults with serious mental illness. Services include training in activities of daily living, use of community resources, healthy living, safety, nutrition, and medication management so that they may remain stable and independent. Mentor for incoming Counselors new to the company. A mentor guides, oversees, and assists new counselors with learning policies, how to properly complete paperwork, and provides a support through the first six months they are employed with the company.
