Director of Community Grantmaking

As Director of Community Grantmaking oversees grants budget, supervise program staff and provide oversight of grants management including evaluation and grant compliance. Conducts due diligence and works with grantees to develop proposals. Additionally, oversees ADVANS a $3.5 million initiative on capacity building and POWER a capacity building initiative for grassroots/start-up nonprofits. Other projects include design and implementation of various trainings geared toward organizational effectiveness on board development, volunteer coordination, and fundraising. Other responsibilities include the management of the Department of Justice Federal Grants Program in partnership with the US Attorney's Office of Northern NY and participation on community coalitions and convenings. Lindsay has also presented at various conferences and webinars in the philanthropic sector. Lindsay has served the Foundation in a few roles prior to her current role. In her early years at the Foundation, she has held the position of Grants and Office Manager and transited the Foundation to an online grantmaking system.
