I used this position to raise pertinent common issues of students relating to, inter alia, access, inclusion, and transformation. I raised more than R1,200,000 to fund; (1) students who were facing financial exclusion and (2) SRC'S textbook initiative for academically deserving students.

This office gave me the power and authority to, inter alia: (1) establish and launch the UFS Student Court as the judicial branch of student governance. This became a judicial institution through which students and student organizations resolve their disputes at a student level,(2) launch Student Parliament as the administrative and accountability branch of student governance, and(3) initiate the language policy review which had become divisive to the student body.
