This included the acquisition and disposal of commercial property for investors and developers, assisting on portfolio transactions for institutional investors and landlord and tenant work both for landlords and a variety of corporate occupiers along with associated property management.Examples of transactions include;Acting on behalf of ICL Pension Trust Limited on the purchase of a retail warehouse park in Bicester. The fund purchased Launton Road Retail Park for £13.5m. Tenants include Homebase, Dreams and Pets At Home. Acting on behalf of The Crown Estate on the purchase of Bath Road Retail Park, part of the Slough Trading Estate, from SEGRO for a total value of £92 million. The deal encompassed 18,068 sq m (194,485 sq ft) of A1 consented retail space, along with 626 car parking spaces. Located within the south west corner of SEGRO’s Slough Trading Estate, the retail park is currently occupied by ten national retail chains, including Next, JJB Sports, Mothercare, Argos and B&Q Warehouse. Jim Yates, Head of Regional and Residential Portfolio at The Crown Estate commented: “We completed the purchase of Bath Road Retail Park in just three weeks from agreeing Heads of Terms, sending a clear signal to the market that we have a strong capability to deal efficiently with large transactions in this difficult market. Forsters played an important role in this deal, demonstrating their ability to act accurately and swiftly to help us achieve our objectives.” Acting for clients of Invista Real Estate Management on the sale of portfolio of retail parks to PHF Investments Limited for £37.5 million. Clerical Medical and Halifax Life sold the Flare Portfolio which comprises three bulky goods parks and one retail warehouse park in Banbury, Ruislip, Newport, Isle of Wight and Aberdeen. Show less
