I interview directors and actors of films that are either brand new or new to U.S. audiences, then write reviews of them for HuffPost. The films may be narratives or documentaries. They may be American or international. My network includes New York-based PR agents, film directors and actors. I work with my photographer daughter, Leslie Hassler, who has an association with the Tribeca Film Festival. I filled Toronto-based CBC shows with features and documentary programming delivered to nationwide audiences. The longest was a two-hour documentary on Black religious experience, "Saturday Night, Sunday Morning." This was an historical look at how American Black churches fostered gospel music that morphed into the Soul music that propelled to stardom those who created and rose from it. Additionally, my features often appeared on "This Country in The Morning", CBC's 3-hour morning show.
