  Prior to being employed by the North American Bear Center in Ely, Minnesota, I volunteered for this organization for more than a year. Once employed I moved from California to Minnesota to help with this educational Bear Center/Museum. Our mission is to teach people how to co-exist with black bears and to dispel myths that cause bears to be killed due to lack of knowledge and unnecessary fear of these animals. I am an on staff graphic designer, video editor and marketing assistant. As graphic designer I design ads, a yearly 12-month wall calendar, holiday cards and any other graphic design and marketing materials needed. As video-editor, I create videos from footage taken by the Wildlife Research Institute of bears in the wild as needed for the educational center located in Ely. Show less

I work with Dr. Lynn Rogers and Sue Mansfield, biologists as video editor, research assistant (gathering data and video for scientific papers, education, etc) and graphic designer.
