  The Roxborough Development Corporation (RDC) supports the revitalization of the Ridge Avenue commercial corridor through marketing and communications, special events, beautifying and cleaning programs, business assistance, and advocacy. KEY RESPONSIBLITIES Manage contracts for over $170,000 in supplemental cleaning and landscaping services by soliciting and evaluating proposals, negotiating contracts, and ensuring high-quality performance. Write and manage grants to leverage funding for supplemental services and physical improvements for the Ridge Avenue commercial corridor. Current grants include $355,000 to replace the sidewalk and parking lane at Gorgas Park and $75,000 to repair sidewalks, plant street trees, and maintain public parking lots. Represent the RDC in its capacity as a Registered Community Organization by reviewing and providing public comment on proposed real estate development and collaborating with local civic associations on an update to the Ridge Avenue Neighborhood Commercial Area Overlay. Provide constituent services to property owners and small businesses such as troubleshooting to resolve immediate problems, providing referrals to government agencies, connecting small businesses with local, state, and national grants and resources, and assisting small businesses in the preparation of City of Philadelphia Storefront Improvement Program and Business Safety Camera Program grant applications. Analyze demographic, land use, and development trends to inform organizational decisions, policy making, and strategic planning.
